Met Éireann has issued the status yellow rainfall warning for counties Carlow, Cork, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow on Sunday 13 February.

The alert comes into effect from 2am and will stay in place until 11am.

The intense rainfall will bring with it a risk of spot flooding, especially in higher areas.
