Co-ordinators of the M20 motorway project have sent over 5,000 letters to Limerick farmers and landowners asking for their views on options for the new motorway.
This move follows concerns raised by farmers and the local IFA over a lack of consultation by authorities on the motorway.
IFA Limerick chair Shay Galvin said that he was delighted common sense had prevailed and that it was a step in the right direction.

The local Crecora Manister Croom branch of Macra na Feirme was also involved in contacting local political representatives with its members’ concerns.
The submission deadline has also been extended by almost a month to 15 January 2021 as it is understood that just a few hundred submissions have been made to date.
