Cattle with good weight for age and of good conformation did well, while it was a tougher trade for those that didn't shape up, a trend that has been more noticeable over the last month.
Buyers and sellers were cautious in the weanling sale with heifers being a little more consistent in terms of type compared to bulls on the day.

Continental bullocks sold from €290 to €715 with their weight, with traditional beef breeds making from €260 to 495 with the €/kg.

Calves
Calf numbers were low as is standard for the time of year. Herefords and Angus bull calves sold from €150 up to €280, with heifers making from €130 to €300. Friesian bull calves sold from €100 to €170.
Cows
A selection of suckler cows with continental bull calves at foot sold from €1,220 to €1,650.
There were jus: over 30 dry cows on offer with prices in line with recent weeks. Overall they made from €60 under to €445 over the €/kg.
