Continental bullocks were the bestsellers at Skibbereen Mart on Friday, with 2016-born bullocks making from €2.15/kg up to €2.61/kg.
Spring 2016-born Hereford and Angus bullocks made up to €480 with their weight.
Friesian bullocks were in short supply, with what was on offer making between €1.55/kg and €1.70/kg. Forward stores were also in small numbers and they sold from €1.77/kg for Angus and Hereford crosses, with Continentals making up to €2.06/kg.
These bullocks, born February 2016 and weighing 491kg, sold for €975 each (€1.99/kg.)
Weanling bulls sold for between €400 and €715 with their weight. There was a good proportion under 330kg and these were most in demand, making from €2.50/kg to €3.16/kg.
Bulls above 350kg sold for between €2.20/kg and €2.65/kg.

These bulls, born August 2016 and weighing 507kg, sold for €1,125 each, (€2.22/kg).

Forward dry cow prices held around the €250 to €400 over their weight mark, but it was noticeable that there are more feeder cows appearing.
These are selling for between €1.20/kg and €1.35/kg. Overall, cow prices ranged from €50 to €400 with their weight.
