There was another larger turnout this week at Lisnaskea Mart. Store heifers sold mainly from £500 to £600 over, with plainer types making from £450 along with the weight and upwards.
There was good demand once again for store bullocks, with heavier types making up to £500 over, with Friesians making up to £320 over the weight. Lighter types sold mainly from £390 to £450 over the weight.
Weanling bulls sold mainly from £400 to £450 over for those from 300kg to 400kg, while lighter types made mainly from £330 to £400 over.
Weanling heifers were a firm trade also, with continued solid demand. Those from 300kg to 400kg sold mainly from £400 to £550 over the weight, while lighter types from 200kg to 300kg sold mainly from £230 to £300 along with the weight.
Again, like older types, the best prices were paid for better quality suckler bred stock, with lesser quality dairy crosses making lower prices.
