I am a great fan of sticky chicken drumsticks, writes Neven Maguire. They are great value and full of meat. I also like this recipe with chicken thighs or with full chicken legs. This glaze also goes well with pork chops. If at all possible, marinade it overnight as it gives you an altogether better taste.

Sticky chicken drumsticks

Serves eight

4 tbsp sweet chilli sauce

1tsp root ginger, grated

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 lime, grated zest

8 chicken drumsticks

  • 1. Mix together the chilli sauce, ginger, soy sauce and lime zest. Pour over the chicken drumsticks and leave to marinade in the fridge overnight.
  • 2. Preheat the oven to 190C/fan 1750C/ gas 5. Place the drumsticks in a shallow roasting tin. Roast for 20 minutes, turning occasionally. Cook until they are sticky and browned.
