The international speakers for the different stages have arrived. The calves for the Calf Shed talks have arrived. The cows for the Skill’s Hub have arrived. Exhibitors are making final adjustments to their stands. Burnt oil is being painted onto the wheels of the tractors and loaders on display. It’s all systems go for Dairy Day
It all kicks off at 9am on Tuesday. To gain entry, just present three tokens from the four most recent issues of the Irish Farmers Journal. You can also pay €15 on the door. Parking is free and there is plenty of space available.
The location is the same as last year at Punchestown, near Naas in Co Kildare. The venue proved a massive success last year as it’s ideally located. All events are under cover, so even though the forecast is good, it doesn’t matter if it rains or not.
Talks on the three stages kick off at 9.30am and run right through the day. Jack Kennedy is manning the “Beyond the Parlour” stage, where he and others will be discussing dairy markets and consumer trends.

Aidan Brennan is manning the “Skills Hub” stage. This stage features six, 30 minute sessions with experts and farmers on various skills needed to be a successful farmer today.
Journal vet Tommy Heffernan will be doing a range of calf shed talks throughout the day.
