Aurivo has cut its milk price for July by 0.5c/l to 28.46c/l, excluding VAT.
A spokesperson for the co-op said the cut is as a result of the evolving market situation.
“Butter returns have deteriorated significantly in the last number of weeks. Powder markets remain solid.
Evolving situation
“The board will keep the evolving situation under review in the coming months and pay the maximum price that markets can return.”
The average price paid by Aurivo based on average constituents supplied will be 30.26c/l, excluding VAT.
It is the fourth processor to set a milk price for July and the fourth one to cut.
Cuts by Glanbia, Kerry and Lakeland have seen €40m wiped off July milk cheques to dairy farmers.
