One video on Twitter caught the attention of the Irish Country Living team this week and that was dairy farmer, Aidan Mc Carthy’s farm inspired cinema in Schull, West Cork.

Aidan transformed one of his sheds into a farmyard cinema by adding colourful lights and bales of hay for his kids and their friends to sit on.

Three Christmas short movies were shown and popcorn was passed around for everyone there.

When asked will this be a regular thing Aidan said, “They are young and won’t be this age forever so we will do this as long as we can for them.”

“It’s a quiet time for us at the moment, cows are nearly dry and it’s nice to take the opportunity when we have it.”

Aidan is looking forward to spending time with his wife Emmy and their four children - Rory (12), Clara (10), Sally (8) and Evie (6) this festive season.
