The high-performance 435S Agri is designed for heavy-duty agri contracting work and is equipped with a host of new features in order to make it more comfortable for the operator while also increasing performance and efficiency.

Engine

In order to comply with the latest Tier 4 Final emission regulations, the 435S is fitted with the latest 6.7-litre Cummins QSB turbocharged diesel engine. The emission requirements are met by incorporating the latest selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system along with a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC).

JCB says that because particulates are dealt with through the combustion process, there is no need for a DPF filter and its associated servicing requirements. The 230hp 435S Agri is JCB’s high-performance machine. It retains its power-to-weight ratio associated with previous models.

The fuel tank capacity is increased up to 400 litres. JCB believes this will keep downtime refuelling to a minimum. Access to the engine is now achieved via a power-operated one-piece engine hood with a separate fuel and diesel engine fluid (DEF) access panel.

Transmission

The 435S Agri has a six-speed ZF powershift transmission with torque lock-up in every gear. The manufacturer says this will ensure optimum power performance when climbing silage pits. The 435S also features the new Intelligent Clutch Cut-Off (ICCO) feature and the 264-litre/min twin piston pump hydraulics package.

The loading shovel can be tailored to any application, with various axle options. There are open differentials for hard ground, limited slip differentials for soft, muddy terrain, and open differentials with an automatic locking front axle differentials for varied conditions. JCB claims the 435S is proficient at towing and offers the option of a 15t Rockinger hitch.

Cab

The most noticeable improvement to the 435S Agri is the new CommandPlus cab. This new cab is more spacious and boasts improved visibility over previous models. JCB also comments that the new cab offers reduced noise levels, improved ventilation, with climate controlled air conditioning, along with more storage compartments, making a great improvement to operator comfort.

Operators can choose from a one-piece handheld servo joystick or new fingertip electro-hydraulic multi-lever controls. Both options are now seat-mounted as standard. Safety is improved when operating in the dark, with new 360-degree LED lighting packages greatly enhancing visibility.

An LCD display provides routine vehicle information, help menus, reversing camera display and daily service checks such as engine oil and DEF levels.

There is now a secondary screen which acts as a command centre, enabling the operator to adjust settings for different applications, such as the variable auxiliary hydraulic flow rate, loader arm suspension engagement speed, auto engine shut-off timer and engine fan reversing intervals. JCB says this gives the operator greater control, allowing them to fine tune the machine for the best performance.

Finance

For this season, ECI JCB is offering a special finance deal on new JCB equipment. The special finance offer is 0% finance over three years with free JCB LiveLink. JCB LiveLink is a software system that enables JCB owners to monitor and manage their machines remotely. All that is required is a PC connected to the internet.

The LiveLink computer is built into the machine where it collects information from a number of sensors. This information is sent, using mobile communications technology, to JCB’s secure data centre.

Machine management information is then displayed to users via the LiveLink website, by email or via mobile phone. JCB LiveLink enables the operator/owner tomanage their machinery more effectively and plan maintenance schedules in advance. It also provides instant notifications when a service is due and critical alerts if there are any serious mechanical or electrical problems with the machines.
