ECI JCB will be showing the new 435S and 418S loaders and launching a new, compact 8.5t JCB 86C tracked excavator at this year’s Ploughing Championships at stand 401, row 26.
These two JCB loaders took part in the JCB Kickin Grass 2014 loader demonstration tour this season, working with silage contractors and larger farmers from the start of June until the Ploughing event. ECI JCB arranged for the machines to work with a variety of users in practical contracting situations. The machines were worked with more than 50 contractors and farmers.
The loader tour of the country provided JCB with the opportunity to monitor performance online through the JCB LiveLink system. The daily location and performance of the machines was tracked, with updates provided over a number of weeks through the Irish Farmers Journal website www.farmersjournal.ie.
New compact JCB 86C excavator
ECI JCB will launch a new, compact 8.5t JCB 86C, tracked excavator at this year’s National Ploughing Championships. The first machines JCB unveiled as part of the new lineup are the 8.5t 86C-1 and the 85Z-1 zero-tail swing model.
The 86C-1 and 85Z-1 launch a new look for JCB midi excavators, with a revised H-design undercarriage, steel body panels, a spacious operator environment and Tier 4 Final engines that are claimed to deliver increased efficiency and lower operating cost.
The excavators are powered by all-new JCB by Kohler diesel engines, developing 64hp (48kW). They drive Bosch Rexroth hydraulic valves and Nachi slew motors and track drives, and incorporate an additional patented reduced-loss hydraulic system.
Operating with reduced back pressure, eliminating parasitic losses, JCB claims the hydraulic system puts less demand on the engine, reducing fuel consumption. All hoses feature O-ring face seal technology and are colour coded for rapid identification.
Three new CMC DVDs
CMC Country, on stand 732, row 44, will have a new Big John Deere Volume 9 DVD for this year’s Ploughing, one of three new introductions. The DVD was filmed across Ireland showing the latest high horsepower John Deere tractors working on farms and in contractor fleets in Tipperary, Cooley in Co Louth and Co Down.
The second DVD is ‘A Day out at the National Ploughing Championship’, filmed last year at Ratheniska, which provides an insight into what the event is about. It shows some of the different exhibitors and talks with Anna May McHugh, the legendary organiser of the event for many years.
The third DVD is based on the Drumcar Tractor and Car Run, which takes place in Co Louth, and was filmed on a beautiful Sunday in April around the Clogherhead area.
