Underage success
An all-female Irish pony show jumping team came out on top in Pony Nations Cup in Wierdan, The Netherlands.
The team of Orla Duffy (Atlanta), Katie Power (Ghost Rider), Lucy Shanahan (Caliber De) and Ella Quigley (Clemens 43) finished on a score of three faults, narrowly beating Great Britain who also had an all-female team finishing on a score of five faults.
Adverse weather conditions meant the junior round of the Nations Cup was postponed. When the class resumed the Irish team of Harry Allen (Cheese W Z), Jack Ryan (Cavalier Teaca), Ciaran Nallon (Zaronda II) and Sean Monaghan (Simone) finished joint-second with Britain.
