Tommy Brennan, who passed away this time last year, is to be well remembered through a extensive library exhibition at the RDS and the publishing of a book in his honour.
Both the exhibition, entitled Tommy Brennan: The Complete Horseman, and the book, Tommy: A Pictorial Memoir, will be officially launched in the library at 6pm on 30 July.
From an incident of near-drowning at the Olympics, jumping over houses on horseback, to attending royal weddings, the life of Tommy Brennan was never dull.
The exhibition, which honours his life and work, will be launched by RDS president Matt Dempsey and will run until 18 September. Leo Powell of The Irish Field will launch the book. All proceeds from the sale of this pictorial memoir will be put toward show jumping and eventing bursaries for young riders and course builders.
If you would like to attend the launch, contact Laura, Katie, Keeley or Greischa at 01-240-7254 or email librarydesk@rds.ie You will be gladly included in what promises to be a great night in Tommy’s honour.
