This year’s Kenya Ball will take place on Saturday 12 November at Rochestown Park Hotel, Cork. The annual Kenya Ball is in aid of Brighter Communities Worldwide, an Irish charity working in Kenya delivering health, education and income generating programmes. The event will kick off at 7pm, with a formal dress drinks reception followed by a three course meal with wine and live music from The Love Junkies. This year’s Kenya Ball will coincide with the 20th anniversary of Brighter Communities Worldwide.
H.E Michael Mubea, Kenyan Ambassador to Ireland, will be in attendance.
Maria Kidney, co-founder of BCW, has emphasised the importance of the event to help fund the charity.
“Right now the communities we work with across Kericho County, Kenya are struggling in so many ways - COVID-19, which is far from over, severe drought brought on by climate change and unprecedented poverty levels accelerated by the Ukraine conflict and global recession. Our goal has always been to provide communities with equal opportunities, supporting them to create brighter futures.”
