Laois native Lily Champ is a well known figure in Irish gardening.

For anyone who has met her or read her column in Irish Country Living, it is clear she is one in a million and is passionate about gardening.

Ahead of her appearance at Bloom in the Park during the bank holiday weekend, she takes us on a tour of her garden and talks about her love of nature in this video shot by Jack Caffrey.

"Everyone should have flowers, because there is nothing like a beautiful border. And you know, that can raise the spirits," she says. "It is like a therapy...I'm always anxious for people to get into a little bit of gardening."
