Kuhn appointments

Killian Griffith has been appointed as area sales manager for Kuhn Center Ireland. He previously worked for Kelly’s in Kilkenny for nearly 16 years.

Killian will be working on the ground covering the eastern region, midlands region, and Donegal.

Ferri import move

Atkins Farm Machinery in Cork will no longer be the main importer for the Ferri range of hedgecutters. Paddy Callan from Ardee will take over the role of importer and distributor for the northern half of the country. Atkins will remain as the southern distributors and importers for the Ferri lineup at the moment. Mid-Louth Garage based in the northeast have taken on the Hardi sprayer brand.

Tralee IT course

As the date for final applications to the CAO approaches, in next week’s machinery pages we will look at the agricultural engineering degree course in Tralee and chat to some students on the course.

Lemken UK boss

Paul Creasy will take up his position as general manager at Lemken UK on 6 January. His predecessor, Mark Ormond, leaves the company on his own request to take over a new challenge in the agricultural machinery sector.

Mark oversaw a significant growth of turnover from 2007 until now. Paul Creasy joined Lemken UK in September 2012 as an area sales manager, for southeast England.

He studied agriculture and has good knowledge of arable farming from his former job as farm manager.
