FTMTA officers re-elected for a second year
The October meeting of the FTMTA executive council re-elected the current president and vice-president of the association to serve for a second year in 2018.
FTMTA president Graham McHugh of McHugh Components Ltd and vice-president James Butler of Templetuohy Farm Machinery Ltd will continue in office until the end of 2018.
Abbey Machinery MD nominated for award
Clodagh Cavanagh, managing director of, FTMTA member firm Abbey Machinery, has been shortlisted for an IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year Award 2017. Now in its 11th year, the IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year Awards aims to recognise and celebrate inspirational women across all areas of the Irish business world. The winner of the overall IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year Award will be chosen from nominations to the various sub-categories or from the judges’ own recommendations. Cavanagh has been nominated in the chief executive officer category with eight other business leaders.
According to the CEO of IMAGE Publications, Clodagh Edwards “compiling the shortlist this year was a huge challenge.
With over 443 individual entries, our largest number ever, competition proved stronger than ever for places. It took a lot of deliberation, and the women who made this shortlist are truly inspirational”. The IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2017 are sponsored by Samsung, Kuehne + Nagel, Grant Thornton, The Loop and No 7 and supported by Newstalk, Independent.ie, Enterprise Ireland and Marks & Spencer.
The winners will be announced at a gala dinner in Dublin, on Monday 20 November.
FTMTA Grass & Muck 2018
The closing date for exhibitor applications for FTMTA Grass & Muck 2018 is 26 January 2018. Application packs have been issued to all firms who registered an interest in advance as well as all exhibitors at this year’s FTMTA Farm Machinery Show and FTMTA Grass & Muck 2016.
