Michael Doyle Auctions held its regular online machinery sale last Thursday, 27 January. Kicking off at 7pm on the MartEye platform, 160 lots were offered with a clearance rate of 85% being achieved on the night.
Over 420 people registered to bid online.
With over 1,000 viewers tuning in on the evening, some sample lots and prices included a John Deere Gator which sold for €7,600 (no VAT), a fresh 4m Kuhn one-pass sold for €10,000 (plus VAT), and a Keenan Orbital dung spreader, which sold for €6,000 (no VAT).
Meanwhile, a 161 Mitsubishi Pajero with 184,000km sold for €19,500 (plus VAT), while a seven-furrow reversible Kuhn plough sold for €6,000 (plus VAT) and a tidy three-tonne Bogballe fertiliser spreader sold for €3,200 (plus VAT).
A 1997 Valtra 8050 went unsold at €17,000 and a Fiatagri New Holland M135 went unsold at €18,000.
Commission was charged at 10% for items sold up to €1,000 and at a rate of 5% for items that were sold above €1,000. Doyles’ next auction is set to take place on 3 March.
