Co Antrim-based machinery manufacturer Blaney Agri has developed a range of cutting heads for everything from mini diggers to 20t machines. The firm has added a new flail head to its range of digger attachments. Blaney also manufactures tractor-mounted hedge cutters with ranges to suit both farmers and contractors.
The HDX Digger Cutting Head was designed for both hedge-cutting and shredding vegetation. The head features a high-torque piston motor for increased power for diggers with higher operating pressures.
Blaney says that the HDX head has been designed with a chamber fully enclosing its hydraulic motor, reinforced by outer ribs to both protect it from damage and to distribute collision forces.
Accessible
This new design incorporates a more accessible hydraulic attachment layout. The HDX head is equipped with a high-speed caged rotor working in combination with integrated shark fin blades.
An adjustable front cover allows for control over the entry rate of material.
The skids are also manually adjustable. Debris is deflected using chains instead of rubber flaps for greater durability. The heavy-duty head and is intended for contractor use.
