The new Bobcat R Series telehandler range comprises seven models, with maximum capacities ranging from 2,600kg to 4,300kg, while maximum lift heights range between 6m and 8m.
There are three compact models (TL26.60, TL30.60 and TL30.70) and four large models (TL35.70, TL34.65HF, TL38.70HF and TL43.80HF).
Built in France, the R Series is fitted with an upgraded version of the Bobcat D34 Stage V engine, with the larger loaders producing 135hp.
The bonnet has a steeper profile and so increases visibility from the cab towards the right-hand side of the machine.
Access to the engine bay is said to have been improved too.
Models benefit from a new cab design, with improved space and visibility. Upon entry through the now wider door, operators will be met by a new Grammer air seat.
The backlit controls and LCD display provide the operator with all machine-related information.
A larger 7in touchscreen option is available with built-in radio and mobile phone connectivity function. A rear-view camera and 360-degree LED light pack has also been fitted.
The newly designed joystick claims faster operations, with an array of new features added including auto grab, bucket shake, boom float and speed shift.
Operating functions
The R Series introduces new operating functions, which include job manager, where operators can save settings for particular attachments and jobs; selectable drive modes; and flex drive – independent control of forward speed over engine rpm with the right pedal.
Automated boom functions have been added, which include max lift angle, return to ground and auto grab.
A new semi-crab mode allows the rear wheels to be locked in a desired position, steering with the front wheels.
The R Series retains the box-welded frame design seen on all Bobcat loaders, with steel plate protection at the base.
Four finishing levels can be chosen from to meet customer demands, with the Agri 4-Star pack being the top-spec model. All R Series models come with a three-year or 3,000-hour warranty, which is extendable to five years or 5,000 hours.
