Laois-based auctioneering firm Hennessy Auctioneers held its monthly machinery auction at the old mart in Portlaoise on Saturday 29 August .

Over 350 lots of agricultural machinery and tools were up grabs, with a number of 4x4s also for sale on the day.

Although there were less bidders on site due to COVID-19 restrictions, there was a much higher number of online bidders registered for the sale compared with the previous month’s sale, according to Hennessy Auctioneers.

All prices were subject to commission of 5%, with a maximum fee of €1,000, plus 23% VAT on commission only.

All lots unless, otherwise stated, had no VAT. The next sale is scheduled for Saturday 26 September.
