I see Roscommon’s newest and biggest dairy farm is advertising for a farm manager.

Western Pastures is the venture in which eight farmers are joining forces, as first revealed on this page in February. Each farmer is understood to have put forward either €160,000 or €80,000 plus 80 heifers. The job advert quotes a herd size of 350 cows and it’s expected to be a cross-bred, high-EBI herd supplying Aurivo by next year.
