I see that the living legend that is Nuala Hourihane was presented with the lifetime achievement award in agriculture at the national hall of fame event last weekend.
Nuala retired as secretary of the Charolais Society in 2016 after a lifetime of service to the breed. During this time, she saw membership grow from 77 in 1974 to 2,409, making the Charolais group the largest beef breed society in Ireland. Nuala was presented with the award at a meal in Athlone and GAA president Aogán Ó Fearghail was on hand to present Nuala with the gong.
