I heard that actor Saoirse Ronan delivered seven lambs during the production of her new film The Outrun. Ronan, who was raised in Ardattin, Co Carlow, said she was only given a simple demonstration before having to take the reins herself in the early hours of the morning and in front of the camera.

It’s part of her new drama film where a young woman living in London returns to Scotland’s Orkney Island to deal with her past.
