A second fixed milk price scheme has been announced for Aurivo Co-op suppliers. The 36-month scheme will allow farmers to opt in for a maximum of 10% of their supply at a base price of 28.9c/litre ex VAT for the duration of the contract.
The co-op has said that this will translate to a price of 31.5c/l (ex VAT) at the average co-op solids. Last year, the co-op announced its first fixed price scheme, which saw an uptake of almost 30% among its suppliers.
The first scheme was for a period of 30 months with a base milk price of 26.7c/l ex VAT, where farmers could fix up to 10% of their supply.
