The Glanbiaplc AGM is expected to go ahead on 22 April, but under “very constrained circumstances, given the current restrictions on large public gatherings”, Glanbia plc has told its shareholders in a notice.
"Glanbia considers the well-being of shareholders, attendees and employees as a top priority and we are closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation," a spokesperson for Glanbia told the Irish Farmers Journal
"Last week, we issued a notice to plc shareholders regarding the forthcoming AGM on 22 April. Based on the latest available guidance from the HSE at the time, we advised shareholders that we expect the AGM to proceed on 22 April but under very constrained circumstances, given the current restrictions on large public gatherings.

"We will continue to monitor the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) and any relevant updates regarding the AGM will be available on www.glanbia.com/agm.
"Given the health risks and the limit on the number of persons who may attend, we strongly encourage all shareholders on this occasion to submit their proxy forms remotely to ensure their vote counts at the AGM and minimise the need to attend in these unprecedented circumstances," the spokesperson said.
Glanbia plc shareholders can vote by proxy via three options:
Proxies must be received by no later than 11am on 20 April.
Monitor the impact
It said that the meeting will be conducted swiftly and efficiently, with the venue vacated promptly after all business is completed.
