Met Éireann has issued a high temperature warning for Wednesday 4 July, with temperatures expected to reach up to 28°C.
The warning will affect Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Galway, Leitrim, Roscommon, Clare, Limerick and Tipperary.
The warning comes on top of another status yellow warning, with drought or drought-like conditions expected until Friday 6 July.
A number of farmers have been suffering as result of high temperatures, with reports of silage bales going on fire and wildfires breaking out in parts of the country.
