Wehrmann farm operates on 6,000ha, with 3,000ha irrigated, in Christalina County in Brazil's Goias State. Irrigation is mainly for the vegetables, which are grown through the dry season.
The farm grows 300ha of carrots, all hand-picked – the only crop grown all year round. It also grows 1,500ha of potatoes, 500ha of garlic and 300ha of onions, as well as maize and soya bean.
The business's annual turnover is about €30m.
