A 50-acre non-residential farm, located halfway between Dunmanway and Bantry, has just been brought to the market by Henry O’Leary Auctioneers, Clonakilty. The farm is situated in Glanaclogaha, Drimoleague, Co Cork, and is laid out in two blocks which are divided by a public road.
The first, and largest, block comprises 42 acres and is all in grass, save for 10 acres that are planted in forestry. The land is described by selling agent Henry O’Leary as excellent quality ground that is sheltered, well-farmed and recently reseeded.
The second block of land is smaller and is made up of eight acres. It is positioned directly across the road, away from the rest of the farm. O’Leary describes this ground as older pasture, but with excellent road frontage. The land also has frontage on to the River Ilen, just a short distance from where the river rises.
The farm is for sale by private treaty at an asking price of €320,000 (€6,400/acre). It will be offered in its entire or in two separate lots.
Lot one comprises the 42 acres and forestry, while the second lot comprises the remaining eight acres with road and river frontage.
