A 72ac non-residential farm close to Killeagh in east Cork will be sold by public auction at the beginning of March.
On the books of CCM property, the land at Monavarnoge, Killeagh is all in one block with a small local road dividing it. Roughly 12ac and the yard are south of the road while the balance of the land is directly across from it.
Land quality is good and there is a central roadway giving good access. This property comes with a functional roadside yard that has a good set of farm buildings including milking facilities, three slatted sheds, an open slurry tank and a silage slab.
The majority of the land is in grass but approximately 9.5ac of it contains forestry planted 21 years ago.
This is mostly Sitka Spruce with one acre of alder.
This farm is just 2km north of Mount Uniacke, while access to the N25 at Killeagh is less than 10 minutes drive away and it’s 15km from Youghal.
“This was previously a dairy farm and if the new owner wanted it would be very easy to put dairy cows back on the farm,“says auctioneer Eamonn O’Brien.
“The current owner is retiring and the land is being sold in goodwill. We are guiding it at €900,000.”
Corrin Mart is the venue for the auction which takes place on Thursday, 6 March next at 3pm.
