A 20.3ac block of land in the centre of Co Kerry has garnered a lot of attention since it came on the market recently.
For sale by private treaty, the property at Droumadeesirt, Lawlors Cross, Killarney is adjacent to the N22 road, the main road between the thriving towns of Killarney and Tralee.
The land is level ground, is well fenced and is all in one block. About half of it is described as good agricultural ground while the balance requires reclamation work for future farming purposes.
It is listed with Killarney based auctioneer Tom Spillane and he reported that there has been strong interest from the get go. It’s a handy sized bit of land and its central location in a county with a strong dairy and drystock farming pedigree means it was always likely to attract the level of attention it has so far.
Farmers involved in either enterprise have displayed strong interest and this has translated into a number of bids being placed on it already.
There is a guide price of €10,000/ac for this holding that is 10 minutes’ drive from both Killarney to the south and Farrnafore to the north.
The presence of approximately 600m of road frontage is also a factor in this property, which will once again add to the interest in this property.
