A dairy farmer from Kerry purchased a 197ac farm near Newcastlewest in Co Limerick for €2.6m (€13,200/ac), Irish Country Living understands.
The farm at Ballynacally, Ardagh, Co Limerick, had an asking price of €2.5m and was sold by private treaty towards the end of last year. The farm is set up as a dairy enterprise and includes an 18-unit Alfa Laval milking parlour with automatic feeders and a 2,500-gallon Packo bulk tank.
