Combine-drilling is preferable for low P and K index soils, especially as planting gets later, but get it into the seedbed at worst. It is not essential to combine-drill all of the required P and K but the balance should be applied into the seedbed. Consider using Wolftrax on the fertiliser where you know you will have a problem with specific trace element deficiencies.
Sprayer testing
While we may be a while away from spraying opportunities, it is important to remember that your sprayer may need to be tested (unless it is new) ahead of this season. It is equally relevant that the sprayer operator be registered as a professional user. Remember, a person is not a professional user (PU) until their PU number has been issued.
