Glanbia Ingredients Ireland (GII) announced that it has held its base price for April at 29.32c/l excluding VAT for manufacturing milk at 3.6% fat and 3.3% protein.
Glanbia chair Henry Corbally said: “The board will continue to monitor dairy markets on a monthly basis.”
The April milk price from Lakeland Dairies is also unchanged for April.
Global Dairy Trade rises again
Co-ops setting milk prices coincided with this week’s Global Dairy Trade, which rose for a fifth consecutive time this week.
Butter was the main mover with prices up 11.2%. Skim milk powder increased marginally by 1% while whole milk powder was also up slightly at 1.3%.
