Older fleshed cows sold from £1.55/kg to £1.62/kg. Plainer cows made from £1.12/kg to £1.27/kg, while Friesians made from £0.84/kg for plain types to £1.17/kg for top-quality cows. Fat underage steers sold from £1.64/kg to £1.98/kg, with Friesians making from £1.46/kg to £1.55/kg. Fat heifers sold from £1.65/kg for a Blue to £2.03/kg for a better-quality Simmental.
Forward-store bullocks sold mainly from £600 to £700 over the weight. Medium-weight types made from £400 over to £600 along with the weight. Lighter store bullocks sold from £50 over for a Friesian to £350 over for better-quality types. There was almost 290 store heifers on offer, met with firm demand. Prices of forward types sold mainly from £500 to £650 over the weight. Medium weight heifers from 400kg to 500kg made from £450 to £600 along with the weight.
