Weanlings

Weanling bulls and heifers were the best sellers of the sale, with the selection of bullocks extremely small. Older heifers were also limited in numbers.

  • Two Limousin 200kg – €530, €2.65/kg
  • One Charolais 450kg – €935, €2.08/kg
  • Three Charolais 301kg – €700, €2.33/kg
  • One Limousin 230kg – €620, €2.70/kg
  • Weanling heifer sample prices:

  • Two Limousin 205kg – €540, €2.63/kg
  • Three Limousin 326kg – €770, €2.36/kg
  • Three Limousin 232kg – €580, €2.50/kg
  • One Charolais 280kg – €650, €2.32/kg
  • Heifers

    Heifers made up to €360 over the €/kg. Angus and Hereford dairy-cross heifers were making from €1.65 up to €1.84/kg.

  • One Charolais 352kg – €710, €2.02/kg

  • Two Montbeliarde – 497kg, €850, €1.71/kg
  • Bullocks

    Bullocks sold for up to €630 with their weight. Sample prices:

  • One Belgian blue, 410kg – €920, €2.24/kg
  • Two Angus 365kg – €680, €1.86/kg
  • Two Hereford 360kg – €780, €2.17/kg
  • One shorthorn 500kg – €900, €1.80/kg
  • One Limousin 730kg – €1,360, €1.86/kg
  • There were 60 dry cows on offer, with well-fleshed Friesian cows selling up to €1.30/kg. Prices ranged from €185 under, up to €335 over the €/kg.
