On Thursday evening last, Bonniconlon show Committee held a press launch for their upcoming show which will take place on Monday 4 August. This year is the 65th annual Agricultural show and Gymkhana and is expected to be the largest to date. Over 30,000 people are expected to attend the show over the course of the day. There will be over 800 sheep on show and 18 National sheep finals will take place on the day. Another 7 all Ireland events will take place on the day ranging from a pony all Ireland to domestic arts final and will also include cattle all Irelands.

Tuam Mart competition
To celebrate 2014 being designated UN year of family farming Tuam Mart is holding a competition for weanlings exhibited by young farmers under 20 years of age on Monday 18th August next.
The objective of the competition is to encourage young farmers to take part in exhibiting weanlings in the mart. The competition will be open to young farmers up to 20 years of age.
It will not be necessary for them to have a herd number in their own name as it is intended that the weanling will be produced on the family farm.
Tuam Mart Store is sponsoring the event and in all 12 prizes will be presented 1st, 2nd and 3rd are as follows: Male and Female born after September 2013
Male and Female born 2014.
