The Punchestown Festival continues today with two more Grade 1 races, in which Willie Mullins will look to continue a good week.
The feature race is the Ladbrokes Champion Stayers Hurdle in which Mullins looks to have a strong hand with both Bapaume and Bacardys. They will be taken on by British raider Aux Petit Soins, who scored at Aintree on his previous run and looks a big player here.
The second Grade 1, the Ryanair Novice Chase, will see Mullins’s Arkle winner Duc Des Genievres look to double up on his Cheltenham success. The champion trainer also sends out the unexposed Chacun Pour Soi but the pair could have it all to do taking on another British raider in the shape of Defi Du Seuil, the very impressive JLT Chase winner, sent over by Philip Hobbs.

Tomorrow is Ladies Day and the feature race is the Betdaq Punchestown Champion Hurdle where yet another British raider Buveur D’Air will be fancied to go well. Nicky Henderson’s dual Cheltenahm Champion Hurdle winner will rematch with Jessica Harrington’s Supasundae, who beat him at Aintree last month and who won this race last season. Big crowds are expected for Saturday, a family-themed day, which features the AES Champion Four-Year-Old Hurdle.
