From ovine and bovine disease to reproduction techniques and surgery, the chosen intern will experience a broad range of treatments and health issues as a member of the UCD farm animal vet team.

About you
You already have an appropriate degree, which can be registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland.
You are passionate about animal science, health and animal welfare in general.
You are career driven and looking to develop your career in the veterinary world, with a particular interest in large-animal medicine and care.
Although it is not essential, those who are from a farming background may be at benefit, as a demonstrated and keen understanding of herd and flock husbandry will be helpful when applying for this position.
About the role
The successful candidate will work closely with UCD’s enthusiastic team of veterinary specialists.
During this role, the intern will support the team, working across a number of specialised areas, such as bovine and small ruminant health management, epidemiology, nutrition, food safety and reproduction.
The candidate will be supported in their role, ensuring the internship experience is as educational and beneficial as possible for all parties involved.
Candidates who complete this internship programme will meet training requirements for the European College of Bovine Health Management (ECBHM).
This internship position is paid, with a salary of €27,181 per annum.
