A cattle farm with 81ac of good land, a nice house and a farmyard has come on the market near Granard in Co Longford.

The farm is at Robinstown and is being sold by JJ Flood Auctioneers who are based in Granard.

It goes for auction on Friday 19 November with a guide price of €950,000 to €1m.

The land is elevated and good quality.

The farm is about 3.2km from Granard, in the direction of Castlepollard. This puts it close to counties Westmeath and Cavan. Castlepollard is 10 miles away, Edgeworthstown and the N4 are 11km away and Mullingar 32km.

Good land

There is good-quality, well-regarded farmland around Granard.

The farm has frontage on two roads, but is essentially in one block.

The land for sale is elevated, free draining and good quality, suited for all enterprises It’s laid out in 13 main fields, all well shaped and with good hedge boundaries which have been kept in order. Fencing is also in good condition.

The land lies on both sides of one local road, and has more frontage on a second local road. But essentially it is in one block. Altogether there is over 1,400m of road frontage. There is mains water supply to all fields.

Farmyard
