A 112-acre residential farm situated at Rockfield, Togher & Carrickgorman, Bailieborough, Co Cavan, is open to offers following the recent public auction.

Selling agent Peter Murtagh, Bailieborough, was bid to €675,000 for the entire on the day of the auction. Falling short of the excess €800,000 guide price, the property was withdrawn at €675,000 and is now for sale by private treaty.

It’s understood that fresh interest has emerged from various interested parties, eager to acquire the land in lots. One such lot might be the house and yard on circa 44 acres. The agent is open to negotiations on a range of lots which appear to be generating a steady level of inquiries. It’s possible the farm could be sold in lots but talks are still continuing.

The land at Rockfield would have been well regarded locally down through the years. Set out in one 112-acre block, the land was used for grazing and meadowing.

Built in the 1970s, the residence at Rockfield is a two-storey four-bedroom house that has been unoccupied for a number of years. Outside, there is a courtyard containing a range of stone buildings, a slatted shed and a machinery shed.
