Dairygold has increased its September milk price by 1c/l to 30.12c/l excluding VAT.

The price is based on 3.3% protein and 3.6% fat and includes bonuses.

The co-op said the price equates to an average farmgate milk price of 38.59c/l (including VAT) based on average September milk solids supplied by its farmers.

“Global markets have continued to be resilient over recent weeks. However, with milk flows expected to increase by circa 1.7% year on year and against a background of weaker global economies, downside risks remain,” the co-op cautioned.

Carbery holds

Meanwhile, Carbery has held its price at 30.74c/l excluding VAT.

That price includes a 1c/l support payment from its stability fund.

“If this decision is replicated across the four west Cork co-ops - Bandon, Barryroe, Drinagh and Lisavaird - this will result in an average price for September of 32.4cpl, inclusive of VAT,” Carbery said.

The price is exclusive of SCC or any other adjustments which may be made by the co-ops.
