Dawn Meats has issued the final call for applications for its 2020 Brighter Futures graduate programme.
Interested graduates have until Friday 28 February to apply for the programme, which, over the last two years, has seen over 50 graduates begin their careers in the food industry.
Successful applicants will go through numerous rotations during the two-year programme, including procurement, engineering, finance, food safety, sustainability, new product development, operations and sales.
Continuous development
Continuous development and training are central to the programme, which seeks to support the development of graduates into leaders of the future across the group.
The majority of the senior management team in Dawn Meats today themselves entered the company through the graduate programme. Graduates on the Brighter Futures programme will have access to dedicated mentors
Graduates on the Brighter Futures programme will have access to dedicated mentors providing one-to-one coaching and will participate in a management development programme for career progression.
There is also the potential to rotate to different sites across Ireland and the UK, as well as sales and marketing offices within Europe.
Supply chain
Recent sales and marketing graduate in Dawn Meats Tom Kenny said: “Dawn Meats’ graduate programme has given me access to and insight into a really varied range of disciplines. Exposure to the entire supply chain is important to understand what it takes to become a future manager and leader within the business.”
Dawn Meats CEO Niall Browne added that graduates are an important part of the business at a day to day level, but also in how the company plans for the future.
