The SIP company, with its headquarters in Slovenia (known as the engineering capital of the region), has over 60 years experience in the manufacture of farm machinery.
According to Gary Daly of Farmec, SIP was the first company to develop a twin rotor rake. SIP is a privately owned company with a German mentality. It operates from an industry-leading manufacturing facility covering an impressive 8ha. Gary says SIP are experts in grass harvesting machinery and produce a range of high quality professional mowers, tedders and rakes.
In the past, SIP was manufacturing grass machines for well-known German and Austrian manufacturers. It gained valuable experience from this, which has been very beneficial in developing its own range of machines.
The SIP range includes machines for the private user and the large-scale contractor. The company caters for the quality end of the market and all of its production is built to a high standard using high-quality components (e.g. SKF, Walterscheid, etc.) and backed up by a two-year manufacturer’s warranty.
The impressive build quality is enhanced by a really high-quality KTL and powder coated paint system. SIP is highly regarded for the quality of its paint system and has for many years been painting components for some of the premium brands in the automotive industry.
SIP is very aware of the competitive nature of the agricultural market and of the importance of giving value to farmers and contractors.
SIP manufactures a full range of mower, tedders and rakes and export over 80% of its production to 55 countries worldwide. Many of the SIP machines have unique and patented innovations. After a successful introduction of SIP grass machinery in the 2016 season, Farmec is fully confident that the equipment manufactured by SIP is ideally suited to the demanding Irish market conditions.
