Kongskilde Ltd markets a wide range of agricultural equipment including JF silage and grass machinery, Kongskilde tillage machinery, Overum ploughs and tillage machinery, Becker seed drills, Howard cultivation equipment and Nodsten seed drills.

The JF range includes mowers, tedders, swathers, trailed forage harvesters and diet feeders. The JF trailed silage harvesters have been market leaders in Ireland for many years.

Kongskilde Ltd will demonstrate the JF range of grass-harvesting machines on their plot at the FTMTA Grass & Muck 2014 event.

The range on display will vary from machinery to suit the small farmer to the largest of contractors. There will be the first public showing of the new FCT 1460MD trailed harvester on the demonstration plot, behind one of Ireland’s largest tractors.

Kongskilde will also have the JF SB 2405 disc mower, with a 2.4m, 6-disc cutting width, on display. This machine features easy-lift headland control, full-width wear skid with an integrated stone guard, giving it a smooth bed underbelly.

The JF GMT 3205LP is 3.15m-wide, eight-disc trailed mower with Collector2 fitted for double swathing. This is a heavy-duty mower with Top Safe cutter bar protection, the Top Dry system and the Collector2 grouper. It has conveyor belt speed control in the tractor cab.

Tedders on display will include the JF Z 555 H, which is a four-rotor tedder with 5.4m working width. It is claimed to be a farmer’s machine capable of handling two 10ft swaths.

Rakes on show will include the JF R 365 DS, a 3.6m single-rotor rake with 10 tine arms and four double tines per arm. The larger JF R655ASL is a 6.15m to 6.55m twin-rotor rake with rear steering axle, ideally designed for raking in two 10ft swaths into one. Fitted with a rear steering axle, it claims to leave swaths that any machine can follow around corners.

New for 2014 will be the JF FCT 960 trailed silage harvester with 1.8m-wide pick-up. This machine is targeted at farmers and smaller contractors. The FCT 960 is now fitted with the all-new 60-series high-output uppercut rotor and specification includes electric operator controls.

The new JF FCT 1460 trailed harvester, with 3.1m pick-up and a new heavy-duty feed roller gearbox and metal detector, will get its first public showing in Ireland powered by a 390hp tractor. Standard features include a hydraulic folding spout and hydraulic auger lifting, when reversing the feed rollers.

To add to the occasion, there will be two classic tractors, a Ford TW-35 and a John Deere 4755 from the Grassmen – that recently starred in Two Legends and a Donkey. Kongskilde will be showing the machines that were filmed in Northern Ireland during the 2013 season, working a FCT 1060 harvester in second-cut silage.
