The FTMTA has formally made the decision to cancel Grass & Muck 2020. Albeit very disappointed, the Association noted that in reality, it is likely that this comes as no surprise at this stage.
In a statement on the cancellation, the FTMTA announced that the decision announced by the Government in recent weeks, effectively banning public gatherings of 5,000 and more people until at least September, has forced the cancellation.
In late-March the FTMTA moved to postpone Grass & Muck from its originally scheduled date of May 14th to a date in the second half of August.

The association's statement added that the safety and health of all stakeholders, exhibitors and visitors and the wider implications for the national public health situation remain the paramount concern of the association.
In conclusion, the association stated that it greatly appreciates the co-operation received from the management and team at Gurteen College in the past months in preparation for the event. The statement concluded by saying that the FTMTA remains fully committed to returning to Gurteen for Grass & Muck events in the future.
