Some 300 farmers have received their balancing payment of 15% under the 2016 GLAS in the last week but many more remain unpaid.
There are 3,500 farmers who have not yet been paid, mainly because they have not lodged nutrient management plans (NMPs) with the Department of Agriculture.
Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed has warned that 85% advance payments for 2017 cannot be paid either until the NMPs are submitted.
