Massey Ferguson dealer Gordon Hegarty and Sons Ltd has revised plans on where it will open its third depot this spring.
The new premises is now set to be located at the old JR Perry site in Athy, Co Kildare
Last November, we brought you the news that the southeast Massey Ferguson dealer had announced plans to open a third depot just outside Athy, Co Kildare. The new depot will not be located along the Kilcullen Road as initially planned.
Hegarty has confirmed to the Irish Farmers Journal its decision to now instead open the new branch on the outskirts of Athy town in the well-known premises of JR Perry’s, former New Holland dealers.
While continuing to serve the same territory as before under Massey Ferguson, Jason Hegarty has said that the reasoning behind acquiring a third depot is to provide both present and future customers with more support. However, additional south Kildare territory will be gained for the brands under the Kverneland Group Ireland.
Plans remain in place to have the new premises fully kitted out and opened by this coming March.
