Pat Farrell has been named the new IFA animal health chair. He has previously chaired the Environment Committee and ran for deputy president in early 2016.

He succeeds Bert Stewart as the Animal Health committee is restored to full committee status.
It had been downsized in the Dowling reforms over 10 years ago, with the regional chair for North Leinster/Ulster leading an ad-hoc project team.
