In April, President Michael D Higgins went on a state visit to Great Britain and the Irish Farmers Journal marked the occassion with a cartoon showing the President with the Queen discussing farming issues.
With then Minister for the Environment Phil Hogan feeling the pressure with Irish Water in May, our cartoon imagined the Minister calling Ballygowan for advice on charging for water.
Most of us welcomed the heatwave June brought, however some farmers were feeling the heat. One of cartoons from that month showed a farmer praying for some rain during Sunday mass.
